Something awful has damned taken up my front yard. I tried cussing at it and using some spectracide but it laughed at me. I'd shit on it but that would only help it grow. It has small, lilly white blooms at the top of the weed. I hate it. I may have to call a professional.

Just take some to a SouthernStates and they can tell you what it is. If you aren't planning on putting down seed this spring you can get something to kill it.

 

Buy some concentrate like poison ivy and brush killer and a sprayer and mix it yourself. It wont hurt your grass and it wipes out anything. You should have already put out a pre emergent but if you have not, spray those weeds first because when you fertilize, they are gonna explode.

or, you could be like me. I don't give a shit what my yard looks like. let whatever wants to grow there, grow there. there's an old couple living next door who go through great pains to make their yard look nice. the old man stopped over one time and started tossing around suggestions on how I could get rid of my crabgrass and dandelions. Next day I put in some horseshow pits in the front yard and had a keg party. loud and deep into the night. This year I'm gonna put up a couple canopies and leave them up all summer. Might even spring for a trampoline.

No, but you want to do it soon in this climate. You can't seed or lay sod for like 8 weeks after putting out a pre emergent because not only fertilizes but kills crabgrass seed left from last season and it will also kill grass seed.
Putit out this weekend and you can seed by early april.
