Smith, Foster and Davis to be 100% healed by training camp. I sure hope they have good mattresses.

Smith and Foster probably won't be a problem. Davis on the other hand

SCOUTING REPORT: RB DeShaun Foster will head to camp at the top of the depth chart. The status of Stephen Davis, who is coming off micro-fracture knee surgery, is uncertain, and the team could add another back in the draft because of durability concerns about Foster. He's had two major injuries in his first three seasons in the league and hasn't shown he can handle a lot of carries. But the coaching staff believes Foster has the chance to develop into a solid feature back. He has excellent speed and cutting ability and can give the team more of an outside threat than Davis. Foster also can catch passes and is a threat to turn screens into big plays. The only knock on his football skills is that he's had some fumble problems in the past.

COMEBACK STORY: WR Steve Smith is expected to be cleared to take part in the minicamp in late April after missing almost all of last season with a broken ankle. There's always concern about a speed receiver coming off that kind of injury, but Smith has worked hard in his rehab, and he should come back strong. Smith is at his best when he feels he has something to prove, and the chance to show he's as good as ever gives him plenty of motivation. With Muhsin Muhammad gone, Smith will be more important than ever to the offense. Keary Colbert will start on the other side, and he's still a work in progress. Smith is QB Jake Delhomme's favorite target, and he'll get plenty of opportunities. Even with that heavy load, the team would like to use Smith in the return game because he's the most explosive player on the roster.
