If I remember correctly, the two interceptions by the Bears were thrown in the general direction of Proehl.

as long as you're using the term 'direction' loosely i'll agree.

that is why I didn't say "thrown to Proehl". He was in the area.

And he wasn't open, except if jake hadda throw long down the sidelines, high with some air proehl mighta mada a play(s).

Jake threw short, and even if it was a come back, still woulda been an int, imo.

I think the lack of jake throwing to other doods has made for all of them, except smitty of course, not on the same 'page'.

Another problem is jake throws many times 'a wing and prayer' as it were, only for smitty to make absolutely fantasic catches (as did moose too).

Problem is, other than proehl at times, none of our other wrs can make those fantasic catches, which usually results as ints do to tipped passes, non catches, etc.

Seems ever since jake was smacked on that little run of his that he hasn't really stood in there under pressure and stepped into his throws (many times he actually has room to step up a few steps, but doesn't, and his sacks and fumbles come deeper in the pocket because our tackles don't/can't push them deeper past jake, and jake dang sure doesn't seem to anxious to pull the ball down and run any whatsoever.

Somethings gotta change, or we're gonna get some more beat downs and be lucky to be better than third in the south.

I'd love to think and see this as a spring board, as Solarte expressed, but I have my reservations. Their inconsistency is maddening and very frustrating.

Well hells bells, go ahead and use facts to confuse my perceptions then. :banginghe

I guess we have all felt for a time that Jake is locking onto Smith....my perception was that it was that locking on that was causing some of the intercepts, but apparently that's not the case.

    Nevermind

He locks onto Smith. I think, right now, he's a little prone to locking onto whoever the first option is.

That doesn't mean he only throws INTs at Smith, or only throws at Smith.

no, he spreads his ints around better than his completions. actually, come to think of it there are certain people he throws lots of picks to also, game ending picks.
