sort of. Nesbit never really grew into the player we wanted. Navies did, finally, and is a good player for Green Bay, but we had an obvious replacement.

This year, a couple of guys did grow, and yet still let the mid-tier guys walk for mid-tier money?

I dunno that I'd call Howard and James mid-tier money. Maybe I'm on crack.

Grant - yes. I'd love to know wtf they're talking about on Mint Street.

my feelings exactly. I think the worst part of it, is that we don't know. Not knowing is what's difficult. I tend to believe that Hurney is pretty damn smart, and he has done an excellent job so far. I'm not blindly believing in the front office, just praying.

Well, I said I wouldn't cry if we didn't get Grant back and I meant it. Among other things, this just likely means the Panthers didn't value Grant's contributions as much as some of us did.

Still I get the last laugh because between Howard, Grant and Cousin it looks like the jury have finally com back with a verdict and ole ColinG was right. Howard got a bigger contract then Grant and Cousin was released.

Now, I HAVE to believe we go secondary in the 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd in this draft.

Stupid question: Does having a FA signed away by another team do anything to the cap? Or because his contract was up it wasn't counting anyway.

Doesn't count until they are signed.

    >>Howard got a bigger contract then Grant

Just like Duce Staley makes more than most fullbacks, Corners generally make more. Except on this team, apparently.

No doubt. In this market, Ronnie Lott wouldn't have scraped what most of these corners are making. Howard cashed in and I'm glad for him, but that it's proof of anything? Yeah. Miami overpaid.

Please...don't ruin the moment with logic okay? I'm enjoying being right for a change. ;)

Personally, I think we'll be okay when it comes to our secondary this year. Even if we had to start Branch or even Cooper, chances are either of the two would get as many interceptions as Grant had last year. Hell, move Minter back to FS and let Cooper play SS. It will all be good. :xyzthumbs
