    Not unless the Patriots cut him.

    Joey Harris is a thought, but since they likely had a reason to cut him, it's hard to say.

    Honestly, for this kid's sake, I do hope it was a football related reason. I'd hate to hear it was a personal tragedy or something like that.

    Probably got hit, did 2 a days, etc., and realized its not college football. If he was a long shot, and realized he wasnt having any fun, then he's torturing himself for nothing. Time to start the rest of his life. My guess is he came from a small program, and it was a big culture shock.

    He's been replaced with a kid from a "directional" school (Shannon Fitzhugh, Western Illinois)

    Camp fodder (as most likely was McPherson)

    McPherson got the snot knocked outta him by Gardner. From thestate.com:

    First cut. Cornerback Lornell McPherson didn't make it to the second day of practice.

    The undrafted rookie out of Nebraska left the team after Saturday's practice in which he was hit so hard with a block by new wide receiver Rod Gardner that his helmet twisted sideways.

    "Everybody keeps messing with me saying he left because of that block,'' Gardner said.

    I'll wait and see how Gardner handles hitting someone with more experience (like Lucas) before coming to conclusions.
