    from sporting news:

No. 23, RB Rashard Mendenhall, Steelers. OK, now this is interesting. I thought Mendenhall was the best back in the draft, and he slipped all the way to 23. And he goes to a team that already has a great running back, albeit one who is coming off a serious leg injury. How much value does Willie Parker lose heading into next season? Probably not much. Mendenhall likely will handle third-down duties, and he might get some carries around the goal line (not that he's a big, Jerome Bettis-style bruiser, by any means), but Parker still will be the feature back, at least for next year. However, keeper leaguers might take this as a signal that the guard soon could be changing in Pittsburgh.

If you watch ESPN's draft tracker and the videos for our picks, dude pretty much agrees with most of us. Calls Stewart pick an admittance that we fucked up for years, and calls the Otah pick a bad move, and says we gave up way too much for an nonathletic RT who might get exposed in the NFL.

Im hope when RIchardson is getting ready to hand out pink slips, he remembers his retarded rant about how cool today was.

We didn't give up our '09 pick. We jut got the use of our '09 1st round a year early.
We gave up this year's 2nd round pick. The 4th round we gave up was an extra pick we got for the Jenkins trade

Unless that came from Fox, which it wouldn't, then they're just guessing. The truth is that DW will probably get more of the playing time early on, as Stewart still has some issues in blitz pickup and will need to familiarize himself with the offense since all his experience came in the spread. But yeah, long-term he's definitely intended to be the starter, or at least I hope they didn't intentionally spend the #13 pick on a backup running back and kick returner. With Hurnfox, though, you never know.
