    They cut alot whole bunch of veterans prior to the 2008 season and still made the playoffs? I can't remember but it was the year they drafted Matt Stafford. There's still hope.

    You mean Matt Ryan....

    That is not similar to us really but I agree that this team can still make the playoffs and compete. It will require that the young players step up, especially Moore, but it can happen.

    Matt Stafford plays for the lions.

    If you mean the year the Falcons drafted Matt Ryan, they let some guys go (and notably traded Hall) but also signed Michael Turner and traded up in the draft to get some people- and facing a relatively easy schedule helped.
