I'm not on the wagon just yet. I have taken a wait and see attitude on the Panthers this year. After today I am very encouraged. What got me excited is the way they played tough and showed some ability to get some yards on the ground. Damned good win, I wanna be on the bandwagon but I need to see a little more.

That's wise. After all, this looked a lot like the St. Louis game last season.

pace going out with the injury certainly didn't hurt the cause.

Best thing about the game is how we stepped on their throat and didn't let them back up. I'm used to us letting teams back in it. No predictions from me yet either though. Rams will have problems all year on defense I think.

Not to rain on the parade, but I wonder had the margin of lead been less, would we have gone prevent more? We shall see. But if our offense can improve every game, then maybe we can let the defense have more freedom knowing the offense CAN put points up.

When we got the ball back with twelve minutes or so to go I thought to myself, here is where we can finish this with a long drive for a score. Sure enough we got it done...

I was really wound up by kick off - more so then in recent years. Not sure why because the preseason didn't show a whole new team. But I was almost shaking I was so wound up midway through the 1st qtr.
