Jeff Lewis would make it worse.

knowing that he'll bust his ass out there, only to get beat by 30...injuries might become a little slower healing...

David Carr could make it worse.

MAYBE WE CAN SCORE A WHOLE TOUCHDOWN.

If Smitty doesn't play our WR's will be Jarrett, Colbert and Carter. If you're serious about keeping Vinny healthy, why would you put him out there throwing to that?

The line has moresay in Vinny's health than the WR's. Vinny can dump it off or throw it away...which he will do if someone isn't open, he's not real big on forcing things that aren't there.

On injuries: Damione Lewis (shoulder): full participation, questionable. Steve Smith (shin): did not practice, questionable. Deke Cooper (shoulder): full participation, probable. DeShaun Foster (toe): full participation, probable. Ken Lucas (hip): full participation, probable. On who will start at quarterback for the Panthers against Green Bay: Our starter will be Vinny Testaverde. I won't give you anything (back up quarterback) after that because that will be a game-time decision.
On the decision to start Testaverde: He had a good week of practice. He was able to get through the week of practice. I think that's good for him and good for us. I couldn't say the same last week.
On if Testaverde will be the Panthers starting quarterback moving forward: Right now, I'm not going to name a guy for the season because a lot can happen week-to-week. So I'll just say he's our starting quarterback Sunday.
On Testaverde's Achilles' tendon being much better compared to the same time last week: That's the impression I get. Obviously, he didn't practice on Friday last week and he practiced this Friday, so that's way ahead in my book.
On if he is concerned that wide receiver Steve Smith did not practice all week: Again, it will be a game-time decision. He's day-to-day.
On what's wrong with Smith's shin: It's still sore.
On if the injury occurred during the game versus Atlanta: Yes. It's something I'm not sure he understood how bad it felt until after the game. It wasn't something where he had to leave the game. A lot of times you've got adrenaline and those kinds of things don't hurt as bad until the next day.

do reporters actually lob these cream puff questions so Fox can keep knocking them out of the park or what?
