That still illustrates what I am saying. Leinhart had to try and make the offense work and get players Fitz, Boldin and Edge the ball. Young on the other hand could just come out and wing it.

thelt, watch him play some next year before judging him. something about that guy - something about that guy that is nothing like mike vick. instead of being a guy you want to throw under a bus - vince is the kind of guy folks will jump in front of a bus for. i understand how you're comparing them - but vince has a different personality. i may have a man crush on him. yes, its true.

The only things Vick and Young have in common is being black and being fast.

That's it. And this is meatpile posting.

Young is faster. Again he makes plays when needed. Nothing like watching the Titan down 3 or 7 with 3 minutes on the clock.

All I can say with any certainty is that as a whole, the Tits started playing better when Young took over. I don't think that is as much a comment on his stats (because I was not terribly impressed by his stats) as it is a comment on his ability to lead.

Young: 51.5 percent passing, 12TD/13INT (terrible). 552 yards rushing and seven TDs (not so bad).

Jones Drew: 941 yds rushing (5.7 yds per carry); 13 TDs, 46 receptions, 436 yards and two TDs; 27.7 yards per kick return 1 TD. He had 2,250 all-purpose yards and 15 TDs. Sorry, but he's only about twice as deserving of rookie of the year than is Young.

Colston: 70 catches, 1038 yards, 8 TDs. More deserving than Young.

Jones Drew got hosed, plain and simple.

Not bad from breaking a rookie record.
