    He did throw it away (accd to the news reports). Maybe he can't remember what his story was.

    Why would he re-energize this story???

    He was too stoned. It didn't contain pot because he smoked it all in the airplane toilet while not getting it on with the flight attendants spreading herpes.

    Someone else said they needed to reassure people because with Schaub gone, he's essentially it now.

    Given that his brain isn't exactly his strong suit, if I were Petrino I'd want to limit his talking to the media as much as possible, especially when it's a thorny issue like this one.

    Unfortunately, that's pretty much impossible when he's the face of the team.
