    Its deserved to.

If you're basing Vick's punishment off of Little that's a mistake. First of all Little was puniched under Tagliabue, who was fucking pathetic. The new Commish is tougher on stuff like this. Little SHOULD have gotten worse. You can't say Vick should get less based on Little, but you can say Little shoulda' got more based on Vick.

fair enough. tell me that using dogs to gamble deserves a harsher punishment than inciting a riot that gets people shot the fuck up. I know solarte's gonna point to the Safe Ports Act, the Treaty of Ghent, and the Pickwick Papers but that shit's irrelevant. PacMan is getting a year for all the bullshit he's been involved in and it's a lot worse than choking a few dogs. Vick should miss the games that are played while he's in the pen, no more.

fwimfw, bam-bam touched Jamario Poppers balls in a convenience store restroom last week.

Separate jail time from NFL punishment because you're confusing the two. Little was suspended for 8 games, and as far as the legal system is concerned, intent counts. I'm all for increasing the sentences for DUI and manslaughter, but Little's sentence was not and still isn't unusual.

so you're saying Vick should get less than eight games, seeing that betting on dog fights and killing a handful of dogs is far less serious than driving drunk and killing someone? thank you. I agree wholeheartedly.

I realize that the penalties for DUI/manslaughter should be harsher. the NFL has the ability to make punishment for various crimes more equitable. let's say Vick does get suspended for two seasons. Fairness and common sense says someone who drives drunk and kills someone should never play again.

the player formally known as #7 will apologize, say what he was to say, the public for the most part will forgive him, and he will play football again in '08

and there'll be at least one member of every gang in the country that wears a #7 falcon jersey almost religiously

PacMan's suspension starts out as a year, but keep in mind what happened with Thurman from the Bengals. He was eligible to be re-instated, but was told to take another year off for continuing to screw up. I can see the same thing happening with PacMan.

'09 maybe. Sentencing won't be until late November/December. He'll report to whatever institution after the first of the year. A suspension after his term is up could keep him out until '10.
