    Define collective effort.

"Yo Peace, Phillips..... Go kill those damn dogs".

That was the reports prior to the plea. The actual plea has the dog deaths the result of a combined effort by the 3 of them. He also admitted to setting this up as a gambling enterprise but he made no side bets nor shared in any of the purses.

bottom line is this (and tiki barber reiterated this sentiment on on "the barber shop" on sirius the other nite)

if this guy worked at a regular job, they wouldn't wait on him to finish jail. He'd be terminated and would have a hard time finding work with those felonies on his record.

People need to get over the debate over whether it should be illegal or not. It is. So is smoking weed. If you get busted with it, you're going to jail. Regardless of how bad you think it is. Maybe the black community should google like i have and find multiple white people being arrested for this so they can get over this racial shit.

My understanding is the state was going to charge animal cruelty with sentences up to 5 years per count. The focus was the 8 dead dogs making the 40 years. Vick plead to partial involvement in 6 dogs.

to be honest, Vick is getting what he needs to get. The state piling on is just the DA wanting a open shut case for his record.

So he handed out money for them to bet with, but they didn't even have to pay the original sum back? What a nice guy he is and so selfless to his friends.

Vick's limited plea doesn't exonerate him from scrutiny under Virginia law. Section 3.1-796.122 of the Virginia statutes does not apply only to people who actually kill dogs. If a person "instigates, engages in, or in any way furthers any act of cruelty to any animal" resulting in death, the person is still guilty of a Class 6 felony, which means up to five years in jail per count.
