Unexpected Panthers shoutout

I went to the Tool/Primus show last night at Bojangles Coliseum. There was an unexpected Panthers moment from Tool frontman Maynard. I am paraphrasing but it went something a lot like this.

Maynard: Well, let’s get this out of the way. Let’s see how drunk all of you are. When I say “Let’s go!” you say “Panthers.”
Audience: cheering
Maynard: “LET’S GO!”
Audience: “PANTHERS!”
Maynard: “LET’S GO!”
Audience: “PANTHERS!”
Maynard: “LET’S GO!”
Audience: “PANTHERS!”
Maynard: “LET’S GO!”
Audience: “PANTHERS!”
Maynard: That was nice. But you weren’t very nice to my home state team, Arizona, last weekend. But that’s okay we like to see a good team. So in honor of that we’re going to play a bunch of songs about anal sex.

It was the perfect TBR moment.

 

That's awesome. I really wanted to see Tool again but I was sick and had already blown a shit-ton of money on football games this month.
