    I don't think they suck.
    I find a lot to be "right" with their music. I'd say they're probably one of the best, and longest lasting bands ever.
    But just like the greater parts of the Beatles' work, and the Rolling Stones' work, I don't value them as the greatest things in my life.

    However, some of the greatest things I've ever heard obviously trace back to one or all of the above.

    I do think it's possible for something to be overrated by a person and for that person not to think it sucks, all the same.

    yep- they aren't my favorite band but i appreciate them and i do like them a lot. yes, they are overrated by being touted as "the greatest rock band" by many of their fans, but they are still dern good. i was listening to war the other day on my way back from d.c. and it flowed so well. anyone heard anything about their new stuff?

    thats more of what I meant.I dont think they suck, just overrated.I like Joshua Tree and one or two songs here and there but most of the other stuff is crap. Actually I just think Bono takes himself way too seriously.

    at least you can hear the edge, and the bass line isn't bad. but, ehh...
