    >> If your front can't get any pressure

if you look at our draft, i think the first 2 d players (Norwood and Hardy?) we went after players that can pressure the QB from the corners. last year the first player we drafted was a DE that can pressure the QB. CJ lost 30 pounds in an effort to improve his quickness so that he can get better pressure the QB. (all this indicates to me that getting QB pressure rather than a run stuffing d-line was the priority to meeks). if we can't get QB pressure, the D is gonna struggle. whether we can do that well or not without peppers to me is the bigger concern than us being able to defend the run.

but we do have some guys that should be able to step up, with a good set of lbs behind them and probably the best set of dbs we have ever had. again, at this point there's a lot to be hopeful about.

Great reply by Duke Robinson when asked how much he weighs now: "That's not relevant."

"That's why they want Duke Robinson to play. He just put Greg Hardy on the ground. Straight power, and wide enough he's hard to get around."

LaFell practicing with the 1st string
From Insider: According to Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer, wide receiver Brandon LaFell has officially been promoted to practicing with the starters in training camp as of Tuesday.

There's still a competition to see who will emerge as the No. 2 option behind Steve Smith -- Dwayne Jarrett and Armanti Edwards are in the fold as well -- but as ESPN NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas writes, this development has to be seen as a bad sign for Jarrett:

Funny that ESPN's sources are other news outlets.
