One thing, it does not appear that trading up will cost as much as it used to. With so many teams in the top 10 willing to trade down, they may take a little less. That's what Brandt was saying on the radio this morning.

Yep yep. Looks like our 1st and a 3rd and 4th could get us to very close to NE's pick at 7.

I don't know that it's worth it, but there it is. We'd still have alot of picks.

I am not the draft guru that you are but based on what I have read about Ellis I would rather have him than Dorsey. What is your take on that Mags?

On third down we could line up Peppers, Lewis, Ellis and a generic DE and probably still get good pressure. If we got Sedrick Ellis and then picked up Chris Ellis in the third our pass rush problems would probably be solved. Nab Carl Nicks or Sam Baker in the second round and that is a pretty good draft IMHO.

I have him higher yes. He seems more sure fire - he's just also a little shorter. Dorsey's good, they both deserve to be top tens and both probably go top 5.

If there is a player we like, I can see giving up a third.

The Pats need corners and linebackers. I don't think they want to spend top 10 money though.

FWIW, I'm not ruling out us taking a back, a lineman, really anything other than DB or WR. I'd be suprised by Ryan, but only because of Fox's philosophy, and the fact that he's on some thin ice. It wouldn't blow my mind or anything, you can make the case for the need.

The closer we get to the draft the more I feel we'll move up and grab Ellis. I don't see him going before Cincinatti at 9. According to Gannt we really like Clady and it looks like he'll probably be gone.
With KC getting an extra 1st rounder they could go DE at 5 and then address OT at 17. That could push an OT down a bit instead of them reaching for Clady or Albert at 5. But Ellis could fall down a bit as well and I wouldn't mind jumping up to 8 or so and grabbing him.

I would rather stay put and get Clady than move up for Ellis even though Ellis is probably a better player. The difference is not worth the extra cost associated.

Could definately see Gholston or Long going to KC at 5. But ATL have to take Matt Ryan.
