Slightly more creative, but no. Short of your standards.

And yeah Manning is the gold standard but with a bad neck and old. Need more choices, because until he shows me something he's just another gimp. I'm veering into the idiot lane.

How about Tony Romo? Would you trade Cam Newton for Tony Romo today?

I'm sorry, but would age/health not be a factor in this business decision?

#1) There is NO, repeat NO long-term concern about Peyton Manning as a result of this injury. The people speculating that it could threaten his career are idiots who know nothing and should not be running their mouths precisely because they have the collective knowledge of a penis-filled anal cavity. Every medical expert and report has said that this surgery should have no effect on Manning's ability to play in 2012 and beyond. Now, of course, Peyton could hurt his neck again and be done forever. Or he could get hit by a bus.

#2) Sure, age is a factor, but it's Peyton Fucking Manning against Cam "I had one good game and Panthers fans are comparing me to John Elway" Newton. For all we know, Cam Newton might have just set career highs and Carolina will be looking for a new quarterback three years from now. The next three seasons of Peyton Manning will be far better than anything Cam Newton ever puts up at any point in his career.

Actually that rant reminded me of Daunte Culpepper blowing out his knee thanks to Chris Gamble and never being the same. I hope like hell that nothing like that ever happens to Newton, because it is a risk on those runs. If it does, it will have the same type of effect on him.
