Even though he's never been an OC, there's rumor that he'll be Denny Green's new OC.

I'm figuring he'll be a blue chip defensive coordinator instead. Teams will actually have some interest there, and coaches will schmooze him so they can go tell owners that they'll hire him as their DC.

Speaking of DCs, I'm betting that Joe Vitt gets a little interest as a coordinator. He's got experience, he's now got some exposure to the league as a HC, and if Martz gets another job (I'd expect so), and wavers between choosing subpar coordinator and good friend Larry Marmie or Vitt, I'm guessing Vick will be coordinating somewhere else.

The timing only had to do with the language of Tice's contract. He wasn't technically fired, instead the team had an option to keep him that had to be exercised by January 1st. The same clause was in his contract last season, which is why he survived despite them losing the game to Arizona the next day.

Mooch. If Mooch comes in Favre will return for another season.

Agreed. Capers = Turner. Both phenomenal coordinators, but "less than ideal" head coaches.

Not sure if Capers will get a third chance as an NFL HC.
