1 - doesn't much matter to me if this place is fucking dead. I'm too old to find some other place to do panthers interweb

2 - It's nice to have a good punt returner again.

3 - Our clock killing drive was awesome.

4 - Cam's contract didn't give him touch. But it also didn't scare them from having him carry the ball.

5 - The extra point thing is cool - I have a feeling that's going to cause some drama. Did anyone else miss one yesterday? Was one blocked?

6 - We may have a returner, but out ST coverage still blows ass.

    7 - Tampa

8 - We need Funchess to become a threat. Now.

Mike Tolbert averaged 12 yards per carry.

I think I read there were four missed extra points, which I think has more to do with a dearth of good kickers than the rule change.

I do like the rule. There's strategy now that wasn't there before. If you're going for two and get a procedure penalty, do you go for two from the seven or try the point? That happened to San Diego yesterday and they missed the extra point. Anything that brings more strategy into the game is a good change.

    8. Funchess needs to become a threat. Now can't be said loud enough.

Funchess is a mediocre possession receiver with questionable hands. Gettleman drafted him because he fell in love with his own press clippings from the Benjamin pick.

It's unrealistic to expect him to be one. He's not ready and might never become one.

I agree with both things said about Funchess being needed now and also he may never be a consistent threat.

If there was ever doubt as to why agin never seems to stick as much beyond a legitimate returner, there shouldn't be.

For the life of me, I don't know why we don't use Tolbert more out of the backfield. It seems that in most situations in which he comes in, everyone in the building knows he's the carrier.

We had no legitimate pass rush until later in the second half. Was that just my pessimism, or did you guys see the same?

I like the physicality of many of our players though. Nice to see some of them playing nasty again.
