    Still such an idiotic and unnecessary move. I just cannot get over giving a huge signing bonus to a guy coming off of two consecutive ACL tears.

    That's not bad if he's durable and still an effective player. But that's a huge if.

    Its tough, Beason and Davis are probably our best defensive guys.

    Massive questions hover over both

    Realistically were talking 2013 not 2012

    And with Davis having 3 ACLs now i just dont know if he'll ever make it back.

    Given the decision to extend TD last year was dumb, this worked out about as good as we could expect.

    He gives up the $8m and cuts salary from 2mm+ to 700k.

    This moves goes from totally idiotic to just normal dumb.

    I agree with the sentIment. And in a normal private business you can overpay to reward past performance and loyalty. But in a salary capped NFL every penny is precious.
