I think you missed this one.

He's saying that this year's cut list would've been guys we'd loved to have had before. Willig's not on this team, so it would be hard to cut him at the end of camp but have been happy to keep him.

Still, much as you hate Willig, he did beat out Tuten, who'd been with the team a year.

Nonetheless, it's entirely possible that no one contribute regularly this year. Davis backing up LB and playing his nickel role might be as close as it gets, unless we get our expected injuries at RB, at which time Shelton might get some carries (I have a hard time seeing him getting many right now, unless it's situational and limited). Mathis, you'd expect to start, but the team thinks highly of Reyes. God willing, Lefors doesn't play this year.
Which leaves Ellison of the picks, who'd be the most likely to get subbed in quickly.

i understood what he was saying but, yea, my response somehow got off track. certainly i agree that for probably the first time i can remember we will probably be cutting at least a couple guys i like and would've been "happier" to have than what we had to keep in prior years ... course when you have Willig starting that may not being saying so much about the depth this year than how bad some of our depth and even starters have been in the past.

It's nice when your team is in a position that they're not expecting immediate impact type contributions from their first pick, nor needs the second to start.

I guess I'm linking this to whether or not this draft class is good like this: look where Fox/Hurney have brought the team in the last three years. We're coming off a 7-9 year with reasonable expectations of contending for a SB berth.

edit: lol, I meant to add that I expect at least two or three guys out of this class to be solid or better for us. Including both Shelton and Davis there.

not trying to single you out collin, but this is what instant analysis looks like. i laugh at the talking heads on tv about it, so when you made the comment about how you get paid, i just decided to search for your remarks on shelton.

nobody knows wtf is going to happen. i just know that i'm not liking giving up a first.

oh i agree. and you could call me a pussy for not going out on a limb one way or the other. but, i'm not gonna pretend to know whether these are gonna be good moves or not. but, if we all just sat around and talked happy, it would be pretty fucking boring.

I had concerns he couldn't run to his weight - that he was running from guys in a weak conference. Of course, I never figured he'd be this bad.

Shut the fuck up you know-nothing moron. I made a mistake on Shelton, yes. I also missed on LT. Humans make mistakes, but only complete fucking idiots with no courage or conviction use imperfection as an excuse to avoid ever coming to a conclusion about anything. And for the record, dickcheese, I've been correct about every single QB to enter the draft for the last six years and I said last season that Adrian Peterson was the best RB prospect I'd ever seen.
