    I'm expecting more from Hartwig, but is coming off recent hernia surgery. I don't know exactly how much that has affected him, but I imagine he wasn't able to work out as much as he normally would and thus probably isn't at top form. In any case, yeah, we need to do better up front.

    He's theoretically as good as he should be. Not that he wouldn't be able to step up his game somewhat, but where he was in TN last year (which was pertty good) is about where he should be. The surgery might be taking away from him, and might have been a factor in last week's injury, but hopefully he's ready to go soon.

    I doubt it was much of a factor in not trying Mathis again (the only rationale would be that Montgomery/Hangartner have a relationship and would therefore be easiest to start together, which is very unlikely a factor), but it couldn't hurt to have a veteran center in next to any of our young RGs, regardless of which.

    That is surprising. I don't remember hearing that either.

    Yeah, I had great hope for him at center because of that outstanding Wonderlic. If he can develop, I still do.
