It woke me as if I was jsut meant to hear this song. It's quite remarkable, and I don't know how I'd never heard it before.

1983 (John Mayer)

I downloaded some JM on request from a friend. Was this a hit?
If you don't have it, check it out. Might just mean more to me because of the time, I was there then.

this moment?

this moment?

muzak - on hold

[magnus]

well that sucks.

I'm listening to Coleman Hawkins being torn a new ass by Sonny Rollins. Hawkins was good but he seemed to be owned by a lot of people...from Lester on up to Sonny, he's on record for having been cut. I mean, Hawk is sitting there taking his solo break and Sonny's running altissimo in blues scales over him.

Lover Man (Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Rollins)

I wonder what category you'd look in to find Stevie Wonder at the
used cd store? I like Stupidtition , err, Superstition, Songs(?) in the Key of Life, etc.

Rite now, rite at this fucking moment...time! I'm listening to
Con Alma on THICK & THIN---Gary Campbell, Ron McClure, Adam
Nussbaum and John Abercrombie.

Interesting critique on Coleman Hawkins' performance on Lover Man, magnus ver magnusson. What's the name of the cd?
Lover Man is one of my favorite ballads to play. :lurking:

[magnus]

I don't know the CD. I pirated it.

What do you play?

[magnus]

Shit. Forgot my song.
