How the fuck should I know, presumably which ever QBs get into a pissing match with their new coach, are running an interstate criminal enterprise, or make a name for themselves subbing for a great QB for a year.

EDIT: FWIW I was mainly bringing it up to show there are other ways.

A franchise QB makes it easier to win but it can be done without one if you have very solid all around team.

It is not the end of the world to miss out on Luck. I think we could win some games with Orton or a comparable guy. A solid OC and a healthy OL would work wonders.

Did he mention that Manning sucked his first year? Or that if he can write about it, we can learn from it? They love to categorize and label, like there are only a handful of scripts and we are all doomed to prophecy. What goes around, comes around, like rumors, fashions, hair styles, and franchise qbs going back to college just to jilt a team who wanted them. Idiot. The next time we take the field, we will have a good QB. See if that is in your Terot cards, you ESPN puppet.

jesus christ...no wonder Collin flips his lid on you sometimes. Win some games? You really are John Fox's son, aren't you? This isn't about winning some games and NOT losing 10 in a season. it is about winning a Super Bowl. and in the last decade and a half, twice has the team lifted the Lombardi trophy without a legitimate stud behind center.

One had one of the greatest defenses of all time and the other played notorious choker Philly in the NFC Championship, then their coach's former team in the Super Bowl...where they knew what Oakland was going to do as soon as they broke the fucking huddle.

Two out of fifteen. I would rather take my chances with a Franchise guy.

So would I...so would I. But Luck fucked up our chances of that for next season, so now what? There are no "franchise guys" available in FA, and it doesn't look like there are any more in the 2011 draft. So is our only alternative to do everything we can to finish 0-16 or 1-15 next year and hope for another chance in the 2012 draft? Or is there maybe some "miracle guy" in this year's draft class - another Brady, say - that some competent college QB scout (yeah, as if we really have one of those in our FO) could miraculously "discover"?

Because otherwise all I'm seeing in the Panthers crystal ball is Shefter's Jets story. :frown:

I do not really consider Eli to be a stud. Big Ben is a stud now but not so much when he won his first ring. Lots of teams have made it to the superbowl and lost with a mediocre QB. Granted that is not the ultimate goal but it is a damn sight better than where we are now.

41 career wins . . . 76 career TDs . . . since there will never be another friggin brady I'd settle for a smart game manager type

Dalton's not a bad QB. Be interesting to see how he does in the combine.

Teams with an elite QB seem to be good from season to season instead of big swings in W's. I'd settle for that.

    Hmmmm...interesting.

    Underrated...Danny Morrison's a TCU guy...

Oh, and I'd never wish for literally another friggin' Brady...maybe someone with his skills, but, please God, never again create another POS with his insufferable obnoxiousness. :gun_bandana:
