if the measure is that the 2003 and 2005 teams didn't choke or fold at any point, then that's false. Hell we had a three game losing streak in 2003. We also lost to an awful Texans team two weeks after being stomped by 20 by the Titans at home.

In 05 we started out 1-2. Got stomped, with playoff seeding on the line, at home against Tampa and Dallas.

I'm a big believer that a tough schedule at the end of the year, and having to fight for a playoff spot or seeding, is the best way to prepare for the playoffs.

Schedule this year definately sets up that scenario. If TB keeps their shit together they'll run the table from here out except for hopefully our MNF matchup.

Which means we'll be fighting for the NFC South title while having to play the Giants, Broncos, etc...

you take on brees and warner in back-to-back weeks and emerge 2-0, who cares what the stats say.

Not a lot of rush. That rush D will get better, but the sacks probably will continue to suck. Pass net yards/attempt is a promising indicator, but unlike last year, our rush y/a isn't as good. Play some shit rushing teams and we'll be better.

Top ten in points, which matters.

Anyway, point is we don't do things like 03 or 05.

we had those failings on lesser years too. We could still finish 6-10, of course. We could hit a losing streak after we clear some easier games. We aren't done failing by any means. The trend is away from failure obviously, and a Tampa game stuffed in there happens to every team.
