Interesting to note that in his 2nd and 3rd (2003,2005) worst interception years we made it to the playoffs.

that's fine, we need a QB. I think that's clear enough.

But, if you don't want a team that works on run first, play defense second, you'll be fooling yourself that we won't go get another coach that will do just that.

I'm fine with a change just to do it. I'm fine with putting the kid in to see if he wants it. But, three years in you do want to see a light come on, I don't know how that couldn't concern a person.

Then he shouldn't be on the team. Professionals need to be ready to play.

At this point, its the mercy rule. Jake doesn't have the velocity or accuraccy anymore to make stick throws. He's slower in his drop. All starting Jake does anymore will increase the bitterness of his last season, the hits on his body and the quality of his long term health. He's done.

"Foxball" is not unique to Fox. It's a fairly common philosophy that typically wins games. The problem is not so much Fox's ability to coach and motivate a team, but more to do with the collective personnel decisions the regime has made.

Defensive discussions are moot. Any coaching candidate (even if they have offensive backgrounds) will recognize the importance of fielding a good defense, and we have the talent to field an average to above average unit.

If we stay with a run-first approach, from both a philosophy and front-office standpoint, we will NOT win a championship. It no longer works against the elite teams in todays NFL.

Based on how long they've stuck with Delhomme, I don't trust their judgement when it comes to evaluating whether or not the light has come on.

He had 97 touchdowns and 59 picks in 64 regular season games prior to the injury. Since, he's had 23 TDs and 30 INTs in 27 games. That's pretty clear evidence that he's not the same player.

Run first is fine when it's not run first with no pass threat at all

You need balance. The Vikings have a strong running game, with largely a run approach. Farve is 18th in attempts. He's just been executing at a high level, making the same offense they have always had more dangerous.

It's not the scheme, its the execution. And Jake can't execute the offense anymore.
