This is about the "water pill" taken to possibly mask steroids right, not actual steroids? But from what I've read the water pill is also banned so even if he's taking it for weight loss it's illegal?

Please God, don't let any Panther names come out with this.

Apparently that's what the Saints' G (used to play for us, blanking on his name) already served his suspension for. If the suspension flew once it'll probably fly again.

The Williams bros from Minny are on the list too.

Jamar Nesbit. He's taking an interesting approach though. He didn't contest with the NFL and went ahead and served his four game suspension. But now he's suing the company that made the supplement, saying they had tests that showed they knew of the issues before they sold it to him, but did not tell him and others. Let me find the article. Here it is:

Yeah, let's sue the company that held a gun to your head to take the supplement/weight loss pill. :hamer:

What a fucktard!!!! I'm glad that we got rid of him. :fu3:

Actually, I think he's got a case. Suppose you bought a diet supplement to help you lose weight. After you've taken it, you're given a random drug test at work. It comes back positive for marijuana, because even though it's not on the label or in any way mentioned that pot is in the supplement. I'm sure you'd rather quickly be talking to an attorney about suing the hell out of that supplement company. Yeah, you chose to take a diet supplement, but you sure as hell would'nt have taken it if you knew it had pot in it.

Of course, the wild card is, was this pushed with a nod and a wink - that is, sorta telling atheletes it's got something in it, but giving them cover by not advertising it.

Actually, they're only supposed to take stuff (supplements) APPROVED by the NFL. Each team has a list of approved "drugs" to take. If players take something not on the list, then they should be in deep shit.

I still have no sympathy for Nesbit. He knew what he was doing/taking.

Well if the product wasn't correctly identified, no, he didn't, and I do think he has a good case.

You've got a point with the approved NFL list. But he's still got a legit case against them false advertising.

I read somewhere that they don't expect to hand down any penalties for a few weeks but will get in the full 4 game suspensions (assuming it's their first offense) this year. So per them look for these folks to get suspended the last four games. Carolina plays New Orleans the last week of the year :bigok:
