    the Colts got a gift 'cause of that BS call (leaping on Tampa) in OT, it gave Vanderjerk another shot at the game winner. Now its their turn to deal with the fickled finger of fate.

    The defender never had control. He initially caught it in the upper body, but before he could secure it, the ball slipped down to his crotch area, where he pinned it...so he never had possession. That's when Mangum got his hands on it, and they fought for possession. Since neither ever had possession, it was ruled incomplete.

    Initially, I thought it was clearly an interception. But on review, when the announcers were so fixated on where Mangum's hand were, you can see that the defender never did get control, so it was a good call...a tough call, and one we were lucky to get, but definitely the right one.

    Ummmm - actually yes, it is. If you have it pinned against anything it is under control.

    Tell me, if a guy gets tackled and only has teh ball pinned against his crotch, do you think that is a fumble?
