    i saw this with my wife the other night. the remake. i wanted to watch the original because i didn't have much hope of a modern remake. it kinda sucked, i thought. the original was a bit more unconventional whereas this one had to give in to certain conventions of film making.

    Yeah, the 70's horror remakes are missing the mark. The only one I've liked so far is Dawn of the Dead, which started it all.

    If they redo the Exorcist, I'm going to kill Hollywood.

    the texas chainsaw massacre. that remake sucked. i mean, beil is fun to look at and all, but the 70's version was done in a way that made it feel almost documentary.

    Original TCM was also frightening. You really could believe that there are people like that out there. When they gave grandpa that hammer and he was attempting to hit hit that girl on the head..mercy. Skin crawling.
