    I don't agree there. The Panthers could have taken Otah with the original first and then not done the Philadelphia trade and just selected a different HB with the second they gave up. Matt Forte, Ray Rice, Kevin Smith, Jamaal Charles, Steve Slaton, Tashard Choice, Peyton Hillis, and Justin Forsett all went after that second-rounder, so it's not like there was just one guy Hurney should have known about. The team could have had one of those players instead of Stewart (since they already had DeAngelo), and kept their 2009 first-rounder (Hakeem Nicks went one pick after that one) without appreciably changing the team's outlook in 2008 or beyond.

    Fair enough.

    Whether the Otah/Stewart combo was the "key" is definitely debatable. I will say this: I value Stewart higher than any of the other backs on that list, for how he's used (perhaps other than Hillis). But, point well taken, which goes back to my point of Hurney being a sociopath.
