You could argue that Richardson has more untapped potential than the 26 year old, but Hooker is probably the better quarterback as of March 28, 2023. He was certainly the better quarterback when UT played Florida last fall.

I'm not surprised he's moving up draft boards. He's the most physically and mentally mature prospect and that matters to the people who are giving you millions of dollars.

As long has his knee seems to be mending, I think he might be the 4th QB taken. Probably wrong

Since I work in numbers and the draft is in rounds and number of picks, generally indicative that the higher rounds and higher picks you have should build a team with better players.

Here is a hypothetical given that nothing much will go on for the next couple weeks or so.

If Houston asked us to trade down to number 2 and offered us next years number 1. Could we offer that number 1 to SF for Brock Purdy and use number 2 pick this year on Anderson and bookend him with Burns?
We have the Red Rifle to start the season and play as much as we need him. Then Purdy takes over after that. SF has few picks and now 2 QB's. Purdy can play, we saw that. He process quite well.

Just thinking out loud while work is slow.

I wouldn't be surprised if Purdy didn't start for SF. We better keep our preferred QB to ourselves and hope the Texans flinch and call. I keep going back and forth on my preference at QB. I'm back on team Bryce

I am not sure his elbow will be ready after the surgery, but maybe so

if you're not sure about the elbow why offer a first?

also small sample size and he's working on a talented offense (their #1 WR isn't a declining thielen, their #1 TE isn't a 1st round disappointment on his 3rd team in 3 years) with the best offensive coordinator currently in the game at HC.

The not sure about his elbow is only in reference to him starting the season. That is why I mentioned the Red Rifle above

I am a huge PURDY fan...but a first rounder is WAY too expensive
