They didn't have their choice because Chicago was never keeping that pick. Houston is a dumb franchise but they're not that dumb. The Bears publicly advertised that they were trading the pick for a month.

The last coach said his plan was blown up his first offseason by impatient ownership.

So the plan is whatever tepper feels. More shitty turf is the only sure thing.

Reason I posted both of McCowns takes, is that now he is our QB coach. Pretty much everyone thinks it is one of these 2 guys.

Other sites say that post trade, Panthers sources said they tried to go up to pick number 2, but Houston would not move out, and that is understandable. The main thing to remember is that the Panthers did not want to go below the 2nd pick, meaning they might be fine with either guy. Thus all the hustle about trading w Houston.

Love to get their 2nd rounder for the move down just one spot

I do like how Stroud will take an easy 1st down with his legs if a defense is locked in man. His reputation is pocker passer, and I guess he is, but there might be more to his game than we think. Ryan Day doesn't like his QBs getting too improv. It's one reason why no one expected Fields to be a dynamic rusher.

If not for the GA game, where Stroud played exceptionally well, I think he would be the 3rd or 4th QB taken. But as D Jeremiah said, if they show they can do it against very good competition, they can do it again. Up until that game, he would have been labeled as another Ohio State QB whose game does not transition well to the next level

    Any details on it?

He would have freed up 11 million if cut

Not even sure he is a good fit for ILB in a 34.

Oh well, guess I am just not the GM type
