9:33 PT: Updating previous reports, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still trying to trade fullback Mike Alstott for draft picks, according to a source close to the situation. The Buccaneers are short draft choices after having to give several up to the Oakland Raiders for head coach Jon Gruden. As reported, the Buccaneers are already looking at other possible replacements for Alstott in the offense, including free agent Greg Comella (Giants), who isn't being viewed by the team as a short-term solution at fullback.

I'd like to see a trade down with the Raiders (our #2 for their #21, #23, &#53) and grab Duckett @ #21 (if he last that long and very well could?) and DE Dennis Johnson @#23. Then get Weaver with our #34 and Calmus, Ross or Brown @ #53.
In the third, get Steve Smith or Ben Leber.
In the fourth...Joaquin Gonzales
In the fifth...Brian Poli-Dixon, Dusty Bonner or Chad Kuhns
In the sixth...RJ English or David Priestley
In the seventh...Jeremy Allen or Lennie Walls.

duckett or green would be fine. i hope nobody thinks that green is bad just because he ran a 4.58. the knock on emmitt was his lack of speed. he dropped to 17th.

this year, teams arent in dire need of a back -- its a good year to drop down and get one. admittedly, the talent isn't deep at all. if they want one, it'd better be with their 1st or 2nd pick, otherwise, its an "upside and potential" pick again...

sorry, but nobody knows who they are going to take. i think that fox is a lot easier to read than seifert -- a lot more straightforward. well, we'll see on draft day, huh?

and green was a stud in other parts of the workouts -- he's got serious explosion and proved it with the highest vertical and loads of reps.
