Jolley is a better tight end than Mangum. He's younger, blocks about as well, and is a superior receiver.

He is decent but to move that far for a tightend? Unless he is Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez I do not see it.

I already explained to you that moving from #26 to #38 is only a middle third round pick in value.

You could probably get Travis Henry of LJ Shelton for not a whole lot more than a middle third round pick.

No, you couldn't, otherwise someone already would have. And even if you could, that wouldn't change the fact that the trade was fine value for the Jets.

Options are WRs Roddy White, and Reggie Brown, OT Khalif Barnes, LBs Channing Crowder, Darryl Blackstock.

The Nevermores have needs at WR, DE, OT, LB.

Barnes is the highest rated player. He can compete with Orlando Brown for the Right Tackle spot, and backup Ogden who was hurt. Nevermores should be able to give him some time to develop.

Nevermores select OT Khalif Barnes, Washington

I disagree with you. I do not think it is good value to move down 12 spots for an average quality tight end. Tight end is not a high value position and Jolley is certainly not in the upper echelon at the position either.

It doesn't matter whether or not you disagree, you're still wrong. If I worried about making sure no one ever disagreed with me, I'd never get anywhere. I explained that the exchange of picks amounts to a middle third round pick in value. Jolley was picked near the bottom the second round several years ago, and is considered a solid, multi-talented tight end. Moreover, we've established that the Jets almost certainly would have used one of their first three picks on a tight end in what is a weak draft for that position. This way they get someone proven.

The fact that you don't know anything about Jolley (such as the fact that he is a converted QB), and that you have this absurd notion that a tight end needs to be elite in order to be worth a middle third rounder, does not give your opinion an enormous amount of credibility. You're wrong, and you can continue to protest if you want, but you'll remain wrong.

It sounded like too much to you and you made a mistake. Big deal, I made one yesterday. But when someone makes it clear that you've made a mistake, it's far better to just drop it and correct yourself than stubbornly continue to insist that you're right.
