    The Green bay Packers select...

Thomas Davis, Safety, University of Georgia

cold play linebacker, coold play safety. for a defense that's as hurting as the packers -- they need playmakers and davis is just that.

Actually, I think they're betting on Courtney Anderson winning the #1 spot. Teyo Johnson is a worthless piece of crap.

To each his own, but Heath Miller isn't a Gibbs TE. He could be a Gibbs H-back, I suppose, but Cooley did quite well in that role last year.

As a result of a trade with the New York Jets, with the 26th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select

    Matt Jones, WR, Arkansas

Wasn't my original plan, and I wasn't counting on moving up. Miller is gone, the good corners are gone, and the Raiders need a playmaker.

Jones is this year's 'freak', and will sell tickets from pure novelty. He's got the perfect attitude to compliment Moss and/or Porter (one of which is trade bait within 2 years -- I'm thinking Porter), and Fred Biletnikoff is one of, if not the best WR coach in the league. Jones is the only guy I saw that could make a significant contribution right away. Plus, he can function as the team's #3 and/or red zone QB.
