Right after I saw that disaster called JUWANA MAN, at the theatre next door SCOOBY DOO was just starting. I figured 'I'll check this out for a few minutes' (I love the 2 for 1 Days at the Multiplex, don't you :D :D :D ? ? ?). I ended up staying for the whole movie . . It was actually pretty good :) !! There were a few fart jokes thrown in the flick, and the actors who played Shaggy & Thelma had it down pat (voice, mannerism, etc.). It was interesting to see who the ultimate bad guy was, but I won't give it away :) !!!!

It was enough to fucking piss me off enough to want my money back. It's really a pretty cute movie. The girls are hot, and the gags are really pretty funny. The actors hit the characters on the money.

Everything was going great until the last 10 minutes. It was like the writers got tired or up against a deadline and decided to just end the thing as quickly as possible with a stupid assed ending. I know that that's what Scooby Doo is about, but this isn't the standard old man in a ghost outfit.

I won't give away the ending, but it pretty much sucks. The only redeeming quality of the last 10 minutes is when the bad guy is caught and he says "And I would have made it too if it wasn't for you sons of...."

It wasn't so bad. My kids were more excited about the Harry Potter trailer at the beginning then Scooby.

Yeah, I was suprised to see that trailer out this early.

Let me rephrase something from my post though...
When the bad guy made his first appearance about half way through the movie, i thought it was perfect. Fucking hilarious, even, but that should've been the end of that, and they should've gotten Old Man Smothers or whomever to try and overthrow the world.

Maybe I'm thinking about it way too hard.

Dead on. I was thinking that they must've picked the guy who played Shaggy just because of his voice.

I thought the movie was pretty good overall. Scooby was kindof fuzzed-out looking, and so many things in th movie were exactly what you expected them to be, but it sure beat sitting at home watching TV.

my kids loved it of course.

it was tolerable as kids movies go. Thats the best compliment I can give it.

I would have rather spent two hours watching old scobby doo re-runs.

Haven't see in, but thought it would be cheesy with real characters and a cartoon. I think it would have been better if they just did the whole movie in cartoon form. They should have never changed the original format.
