    i don't like being in the "play the 2nd qb" club, but to me, moore has a one year deal to not fuck up. jake didn't throw three picks in the end zone last year and he would have at least attempted the throw to smith.

    might as well play the rookie. confidence apparently isn't an issue with him.

    yeah, I'd want Clausen to not play for his own sake. But at some point you need a guy who can just do what you need of him. For Moore everything right now is forced, and if some time on the bench gives him clarity, great. If not, fuck it, we'll see what the kid has.

    Me too, WYDD. I hate being all like..."put the other guy in!!!" when the starter is struggling, because truth be told, Clausen will do a lot of the same things. And he'll scramble a lot, force throws, make a lot of mistakes. He will not save us this year. But if we're gonna have a guy doing that, I'd rather have the guy who is gonna be a fixture of this team for the long run, learning on the job.

    Matt Moore will not be our starter past a few games this year. He just won't.
