    OK, the Panthers got their asses handed to them in d.c. Will it happen again? If ever a team was ready to have its liver cut out, it is the woeful Philly bunch that is wandering in the NFL wilderness, without a QB who can throw 30 yards down the field and with a defense that gave up 170 yards to Indy rookie RB Addai.

    If the Panthers can't step on these pitiful throats, they may as well turn in their cleats, call off the rest of the season and retreat to Blue Bayou, or wherever.

    Oh, by the way: Garcia did hang 21 points on the Colts with 19 of 23 short passing yards to RBs and TEs. If Carolina can't cover the short game and if it doesn't come out of its offensive funk, count this as another mystifying defeat.

    The key is playing down. The Panthers always play down to their opponent. Play worse than you really are and the Panthers will match you fumble for fumble, interception to interception. Then step it up from horrible to just bad in the closing minutes. Catch the Panthers unaware. You'll get them everytime. I'm still pissed. Losing to the freakin Cowboys and the damned Redskins in the same freakin year is unbelieveable. Probably lose to the damned steelers and really make my freakin day. I'll end up giving 'Surfer $20.OO just to take my PSL's.

    It is hard to buy the whole the panthers will play hard next week for pride's sake when they are 6-5. They should have reached that point a long time ago.
