Yeah. He can do it, and hopefully it wouldn't keep him from being drafted if we had a tackle. Otherwise, I'd really like the tackle first.

starting to make sense to me that if they want a young RT (AND THEY REALLY SHOULD WANT ONE) why not just take Jammal Brown. He could still be there . . . BTW - the same boneheads that say we draft TE Heath Miller at #14 say that Jammal drops to #19. When has the top tackle in a draft EVER dropped that low?

Why are we talking about OG anyway, Bruce Nelson will be a pro-bowler next year....

Isn't Barron rated higher than him? It just seems like Elton Brown is a lot more of a sure fire guy than any of the tackles. A solid guard would help our offense a lot, almost as much as a tackle. I am not sure I want to start a rookie at RT next year anyway. It is easier to do that with a guard. Maybe if we bring in an adequate RT we can groom Wharton behind him. I think that was the plan for Meadows...

No. Barron's not rated higher. A couple sites do, yes, but he's not as good, and has injury issues. Stay the fuck away from that type guy, and sadly that's an argument against Munoz, too. Because he's damn decent as a RT.

I do not advocate Barron any more now that I know about his injury problems. Maybe if he slipped to the second round or something...

I would be happy with either Elton Brown or Jamaal Brown. I just want OL help.

Anybody know anything about OT Khalif Barnes, Washington, 6-5, 305, 4.85 ?
    Check that out ..... 4.85
    Comparing: Alex Barron 6-7, 325, 5.20
Bigger and much faster than Jammal Brown 6-5, 300, 5.25
I don't ever remembering an OT under 5.0
    That's not much slower than Julius Peppers pre-drafts of 6-6, 282, 4.70

Doesn't matter. Everyone was ignoring it (or at least trying to).
