    HDMI is the shiznit. It's the standard for new stuff - you won't see much in the way of DVI soon, even PC video cards are finally starting to come out with HDMI.

    Who wouldn't want the small connector, integrated audio, etc.?

    My TV only accepts either an s-video cable or an RCA cable. I guess I am behind the curve.

    sound wise where does HDMI fall between Composite, Digital Coax and Fiber?? I'd think its probably similar to digital coax and the fiber would still be superior, but that's just a guess. I think I might would prefer it because its more compact and frankly the difference between digital coax and fiber isn't a huge one.

    I love my Samsung upconvert DVD & LCD TV on HDMI. Looks and sounds great. I do get some weird feedback noises from certain movies though, for no good reason (cough cough Lucasfilm?? cough cough)

    Anyway, a single cable to connect the two rocks. No mess of wires to fiddle with.
