Dude, I'm not the first one to note that you make a comment about him being cut every two days. If you aren't openly campaigning for it then you should know that you sure as hell look like you are.

We are missing Smitty BAD!!!! I sure hope he and Jake can pick up where they left off last season, but I'm kinda worried that he'll be rusty from lack of practice in camp and not getting into rhythm with Jake.

Yeah, we shouldn't sell Eric down the river just yet. Robertson was horrible, and Haynes didn't play. Plus, it wasn't like the reserves would see much time last night, anyway. So we still have three guys competing for one spot, and next week will provide better judgement.

I did see Shelton on KO coverage, btw. Not sure if Haynes was out there.

I'm fairly happy, myself. It wasn't a beautiful performance, and we clearly have some things to straighten out before Atlanta, but playing that poorly against a good team (and not having Smith), yet still being able to beat their starters by 10 is a plus.

Concerning special teams, I think this could turn out to be the best group we've ever had under Fox.

I expect we'll see plenty of Shelton next game. Personally I'd keep him but if he goes, well fuck it, we found someone better. Sucks to blow a high pick but it ain't the end of the world.

I remember that play. Jake under threw the ball and Colbert slowed down for it. Problem was he slowed down a little soon

Well, I felt like shit last night during and after the game. Maybe it's because my expectations are quite high (altho not so high it's unreal). It seems the O has regressed since the first drive of the first PS game.

The O looked terrible. 6 for 15 for 58 yards is complete garbage.

But the pass D looked like shit. Sure, at times Miami had some great passes/catches even with good coverage, but as usual 3rd down D sucked and trgo still doesn't know there's RBs and TEs going over the middle short.

The only bright spots were the run D, d williams at times (obviously the TD on return), and special teams as a whole.

The doods have got to pick it up especially on O, or it's gonna be a long season. I really expected them to be much better than they have. Some say "well dang, smitty ain't out there!". Well fuk, if we suck again without smitty out there or if he's tripple covered, we ain't going to the pos even with our schedule this year.

If nothing else going into last nights game the Panthers had never beaten the Dolphins. Now they have

Don't blame him. As I mentioned in my notes, the LBs were the ones who either outright missed assignments or gave up far too much cushion. TD and Draft had a couple of screwups a piece.
