I am wanting to put up a storage building in my back yard. Lowes used to have a program that would design and tell you what materials you would need and how much it would be. ANyone have a program that does this or know where I can go. I am wanting to put up a 20 x 20 building, going to put down a cement floor.

Lowes & Depot programs suck....they max out crap you don't really need. Pick a local independent building supply and sit down with one of their outside sales guys. Tell him he's got the material sale and he will treat you right and guide you through the process.

My best guess from breaking ground to the finished product is 20K. That includes grading, concrete, materials, windows & doors, labor, and permits. Insulated walls with finished sheetrock.

Re-edit....I'm basing that on $50 per sq ft....upon reflection that would also include electrical & plumbing. Your entry, entry level home goes for around 80-90 per square ft and that includes the price of the lot.
