So now that we've seen Getlleman's approach to an oft-injured player, regardless of past performance, what does Stewart's future look like if his injury history continues?

At this point it's dictated by the contract. Beason was willing to restructure to "prove" himself, but few players are. Plus, the "effort to get Barner involved" is really an acknowledgment that DW isn't suited to handling everything for a full season.

In the first place let's remember, Rivera was publicly requesting a scatback for a while, so I'm not sure I put Barner all on Gman.

Also, I believe Gman has already had Stewart (oops, I mean Timmy B #2) in for a restructure.

Looks like he will have a knee added to his injury history, looked pretty bad.

It's a shame. Stewart gave the offense a spark early in the 3rd last night. Tough hit to take on a knee. It looked awful in slow-mo.

According to spotrac, cutting him prior to next season would incur a dead cap hit of $18,185,000. Unless he gives a lot of money back via restructure (and there's no reason why he should), the Panthers can't realistically get out from under that contract until 2016.
