    Why does it not seem to be worded like a gotcha thread?

    I would think that most Panthers fans seeing a thread title stating "Steve Smith's out 8-10 weeks" would assume that official word had been released to the media that he would not be playing for 8 to 10 weeks. Even for the few seconds it would take until you opened it and saw that it was just a goof most would see that as a "gotcha" wouldn't they? I'm confused by your confusion strat :)

    Am I the only one who can scroll over a thread title and read the first post? B/c that pretty much killed the 'joke'. Now the 'joke' is on veryone else for giving a shit and making gottalaff cream his keyboard.

    I'd assumed it was a "gotcha" thread. Seeing the "would suck (or whatever it was)" kind of saved it from complete "gotcha"ness :) Sorry, but I'm now even more confused trying to decide if I hate "gotcha" threads or hate myself for being "got".

    Kidding aside, the Bucs board is one example of a message board that takes itself so seriously as to immediately ban people for stuff like that and the level of football talk that earns them is on display for the world to see. IOW I would submit that banning "gotcha" threads does not guarantee mo better discussion.

    Thank fucking GOd someone here doesnt find that stupid shit funny. Yeah, rake is right, too. There have been far too many of those "ha, I made ya look" posts around here, and theyre not funny, theyre fucking stupid. Its not original, I have a hard time believing anyone really laughed, and its so fucking passe now.

    Face it....dumb thread. Whatever, its done. I dont have much time to post anymore, which breaks my heart, but I read The Lair and this every day. Im getting fucking tired of having to wonder if what I see posted is true or a goddamn lame gag.
