And thread titles like this one with worthless information inside don't get to you a little too? I refer people to this football forum. I tell them it's more informative than any official site, most of the time because people here link the news story and then we all follow with commentary (and you are without a doubt a major contributor and should be lauded for such). The number of posts I have here does not diminish my football insights or my thirst for knowledge. I was there in the early charlotte.com days. This place (as you know) evolved to something better and was tops for a good while. It's starting to fade (and you know this too, hence your earlier stance on boycotting for a time).

I don't joke with football. I invest too much money in fantasy leagues and sports wagering in general to joke about it. It frustrates me to brag about this place to people and enjoy the commentary (even the mundane game analysis kind, which I happen to follow and like) and then have piss stains come in and make a mockery of it and no one get upset, like it's the norm and perfectly acceptable. Either this is a serious football discussion forum or it's not. The thread was inteneded to mislead and deceive. That's the part that's not cool. The fact that only one or two folks posted a negative response tells me all that I need to know about how seriously information sharing is here. I am disappointed. Maybe TBR has jumped the shark for me.

Can you read, jackass? We already covered my statement with Bongo and why it doesn't apply. In fact, I said in that very complaint how "I post/ed at TBR because the irreverence here suits my personality quite well."

Fuck no. For one, I knew it was a joke from the start because if Smith really would have been injured that badly, I'd have heard about it and there would be ten million threads on here predicting the end of the world. Plus I just don't take football that seriously. I love watching the sport and I love talking about, but it's not something I can't laugh it. I didn't kill myself after 1-15 and I didn't throw a party after the Super Bowl appearance. It's fine if you just didn't find this joke to be funny, but to actually be offended by it? God damn.

No, but it does diminish your credibility when it comes to saying what should be posted in the forum. In the same spirit as the "if you don't vote, don't bitch" manta, you shouldn't be whining when you don't contribute. I'm glad that you find something valuable in lurking, honestly, but don't come around and get all preachy when you normally don't have shit to say.

Dude, that's just sad. For real, that is depressing. Frankly, I just don't get this reaction. Do you even have friends? Do they never fuck with you? Try telling a drunk buddy, "damn man, somebody just stole your car!" It's funny, I promise.
