    Just a guess, but let him practice with team and see if he has anything while making a minimum investment. (he has some connection with Proehl)

    It's quite odd, but my guess is that we've promised him a roster spot when/if he gets the offense down.

    He passed thru waivers on a cheap rookie contract. I doubt that they promised him anything. Just a chance at a fresh start.


    His agent was Ricky's too back in the day I think.

    I like it. He's probably never going to have an acceptable catch rate, but the offense needs a situational deep threat who can stretch coverage.
