    It's not explainable. Fans love runners, fans think that guys who complete over half their passes in the second half of preseason games are stars.

    why? because there will be an aritcle in the paper, it'll probably make a good emotional news story the team really needs, and i think fans will respond to him like most of us did when we saw the interview. people like pulling for a story like that.
