12 for 17 on third down. I counted 4 for 6 on third and 7 or more and one of those was the 3rd and 20 just before the half and all they were trying to do was get in FG range. That is the biggest reason for the TOP difference and i chalk all that up to talent.

Sure, we made a couple of mental mistakes that cost us points. But when your overall talent level his higher, you can get away with them. New Orleans probably had more mental mistakes yesterday than we did but they were able to overcome them.

    They did?

4 point swing, just for starters, on STs- blocked xtra point (1), and retarded time out so we could make sure our opponents could kick 3.

Team is #5 offense in the league. That is going to help win more games than lose.Night and day from fox and the leather helmet offense. Defense is 18/32 so mediocre at best. (28 run D ugh)

89 is #2 in receiving yards and Back-Foot is still #4 in passing yards

I said probably. I was at the game and haven't had a chance to look at the reply. The thing is that their mental mistakes didnt result directly in point swings. But I know of two 15 yard pentalties that they had that were clearly mental mistakes.

More stats, got this from Yas' blog.

The context was completion % on deep balls (balls deep?), but the amount of times we've gone downfield is eye opening. Or something.

Did Clausen even attempt a throw of 21 yards last year?
