I was thinking driving with the lights off in the middle of the night on a winding road in the mountains. It's only a matter of time until Danny Boy gets injured again

I believe that the holdout has effectively kept Beason at WLB for this year unless emergency issues come up. Diggs' injury doesn't help either.

I'm fine with that, because I'd rather have an imapctive player at WLB and a solid, unspectacular player inside. If Morgan goes down, and Seward can hold it together for the first two downs, I'm fine with that.

The problem is, either way Beason should be in the nickel as well, and that weeks' difference means a week less time concentrating on one of those roles. I do believe a healthy Diggs starts the season out, but won't last for long injury or not.

Right now I am the only voter for Davis, Seward, Beason. I just figured we won't move Beason once he gets in and cannot make myself believe Morgan will not be history before we're halfway through.

    probably so.
I think, in theory, you're looking at Davis, Morgan, Beason. But Beason may not be starting opening day, and Morgan's not reliable for half a year or so.

If we were lucky enough to have Morgan to the halfway point Beason will have some starts under his belt by the time Seward has to take over, which would help. Also, I don't trust Diggs to stay healthy long enough to work Beason in at a liesurely pace.

hell, as it is, we've gotta come up with another first teamer so we don't have to play Beason extensively before he's ready. Diggs will be ready for opening day you can assume but in the meantime, it's touch and go.

I know Shaw is thought of as a special teamer but I am curious to see what he can do if he gets a chance to play with the first string.

I didn't vote because Davis has just received enough jinxation to be on IR by about mid preseason I'd say
